Comedian Lee Kyung-sil's son Son Bo-seung revealed the reason for his enlistment.
On the 26th, the TV Chosun show ‘Lovers of Joseon’ featured Lee Kyung-sil and her son Son Bo-seung visiting Nonsan, Chungcheongnam-do for a strawberry picking experience.
During the strawberry picking, Son Bo-seung approached Lee Kyung-sil and confessed, “I received my enlistment notice. I’m going to the military now.” Lee Kyung-sil could not hide her surprise at her son's sudden announcement.
In response to Son Bo-seung's enlistment in June, Lee Kyung-sil asked, “Is it true? Are you not joking? You’re not going to say ‘just kidding’ later, are you?” However, she also encouraged him, saying, “Good job. It’s better to go quickly. Is that why you wanted to come to Nonsan?”
Son Bo-seung explained his sudden decision to enlist, saying, “I have to go eventually, and it’s already late. Also, I heard that military savings have improved, and you can save 550,000 won a month. They say you can get over 20 million won when you get discharged. I plan to use that to repay my mom.”
Meanwhile, ‘Lovers of Joseon’ airs every Monday at 10 PM.
