In 'Yumi's Cells Season 3', Kim Go-eun and Kim Jae-won awaken the dormant cell village once again.

With high expectations, the TVING original series 'Yumi's Cells Season 3' (written by Song Jae-jung and Kim Kyung-ran, directed by Lee Sang-yeob) returns after three years, depicting Yumi (played by Kim Go-eun), who has returned as a star writer, and the cells that still only know Yumi, growing once again and telling a love story as always in this cell-stimulating relatable romance.

As Kim Go-eun's comeback, which established the formula 'Yumi=Kim Go-eun', heats up online, the popular young actor Kim Jae-won joins the drama as the much-anticipated character 'Sung-rok', exciting drama fans. Additionally, the trusted director Lee Sang-yeob and writers Song Jae-jung and Kim Kyung-ran team up again, raising expectations even higher.

Produced in seasons, 'Yumi's Cells' has received praise for its innovative combination of live-action and 3D animation, as well as cleverly portraying the ordinary life of Yumi, resonating with viewers. The romance of Yumi, who is on a journey to find love and dreams, has provided thrills, laughter, and emotion, elevating seasons 1 and 2 to the ranks of many people's 'life dramas.'

Previously, Yumi, who was an ordinary office worker, began to dream of becoming a 'writer'. She eventually quit her job to immerse herself in writing. In the upcoming Season 3, the story of Yumi, who becomes a star writer after much effort, will be depicted.

Although she has achieved great success as a romance novelist who captures readers' hearts, the most challenging thing for Yumi remains love. The cell village seems to have entered a temporary rest, quiet and devoid of excitement, but the appearance of Sung-rok (played by Kim Jae-won) brings a fresh change to Yumi.

Returning as Yumi after three years, Kim Go-eun is expected to captivate viewers once again with her dynamic acting. In particular, the chemistry between her and Kim Jae-won, who is younger than her, already hints at excitement.

The new character who awakens Yumi's dormant cell village is Sung-rok, played by Kim Jae-won. Sung-rok is the new PD of the Julie Literature Company, known for his sweet face and sharp remarks. Although he seems cold, dominated by the 'rational cell', he has a surprising charm when you get to know him. Maintaining his own routine and living a calm life, Sung-rok faces unexpected events as he takes charge of Yumi, the writer whose 'emotional cells' are in turmoil.

Rising to prominence with 'Our Blues', Kim Jae-won has proven his solid acting through 'King the Land', 'Hierarchy', and 'Ok's Lady'. Kim Jae-won, who will showcase a different charm in the role of Sung-rok, expressed his enthusiasm, saying, "I am grateful to join a work that is receiving so much love as a good opportunity," and added, "I will do my best to create a wonderful Sung-rok. I would appreciate it if you could show a lot of love for this project."

Meanwhile, 'Yumi's Cells Season 3' will be released on TVING in the first half of 2026.
