‘Talk Partner 25’ showcases the charm of Kauai in Hawaii and Istanbul in Turkey.
On the upcoming broadcast of JTBC's entertainment program ‘Talk Partner 25’ (directed by Hong Sang-hoon and Kim Seon-jun) on the 19th at 8:50 PM, viewers will embark on a virtual trip to Kauai, Hawaii, known for its breathtaking natural scenery, and Istanbul, Turkey, rich in culture and history, alongside architect and author Oh Gi-sa.
The Hawaii talk partner introduces the allure of Kauai, the oldest island in the Hawaiian archipelago. At Poipu Beach, viewers can look forward to encountering Hawaiian monk seals. At the summit of Waimea Canyon, known as the ‘Grand Canyon of Hawaii,’ Lee Chan-won expresses his amazement at the majestic gorge and the unique landscapes rarely seen in Hawaii, exclaiming, “Is that Hawaii?” which heightens anticipation.
They will also experience special activities unique to Kauai. One such activity includes mountain tubing in a location that utilizes the canals from a former sugarcane plantation. A boat tour allows them to closely admire the Napali Coast, where they will encounter sea caves, a spectacular pod of dolphins, and humpback whales, drawing attention. Jeon Hyun-moo, upon seeing the beautiful pod of dolphins, exclaims, “It’s a pod! A pod!” Additionally, Lee Chan-won reportedly showed genuine excitement, saying, “I want to go here for my honeymoon,” while enjoying the stunning ocean view from a restaurant.
Meanwhile, the Turkey talk partner heightens interest with a virtual trip to Istanbul, the center of Turkey's economy, finance, and culture. Notably, they will introduce a special restaurant run by Turkish star chef Nusret Gökçe, showcasing a performance of sprinkling salt on meat and unique dishes adorned with 24K gold leaf.
They will also explore the story behind the Tears of the Column and the uniquely shaped Medusa statue in the Basilica Cistern, the largest underground reservoir in Istanbul. Additionally, they will enjoy a mukbang of Balık Ekmek, a traditional Istanbul dish, and board a night cruise to experience performances and the night view over the Bosphorus Strait, covering Istanbul's landmarks.
