‘Pyeon Restaurant’ Hayoung shares her daily life in a 10-pyeong studio apartment.
On the 16th, KBS2’s ‘New Launch Pyeon Restaurant’ (hereafter ‘Pyeon Restaurant’) will feature the debut of new chef Hayoung. Hayoung has gained attention as a rising actress after showcasing detailed acting in the series ‘Severe Trauma Center,’ which was released in 2025 and achieved global number one status, garnering explosive popularity.
The VCR featuring Hayoung begins in a mysterious room filled with various belongings. What catches the eye is an unidentified figure curled up and sleeping on the cluttered floor. It was none other than the main character, Hayoung. Moments later, Hayoung suddenly wakes up, spots the camera, and exclaims, “Oh my, what should I do!” in surprise, then cutely greets with “Hello” while fixing her messy hair, bringing laughter. Nevertheless, her radiant bare-faced beauty captured attention.
This was Hayoung's 10-pyeong studio apartment. Originally, she lived with her large family of six, including her parents, sister, brother-in-law, and niece, but she recently started living alone to focus on her acting practice. Hayoung said, “I haven’t been here long, so I haven’t organized my things yet. It’s a mess. Please don’t misunderstand,” and laughed heartily.
Hayoung's revealed daily life was a complete package of ‘easy-going,’ ‘cheerful,’ and ‘amazing sociability.’ When she completed a delicious dish, she would cheer and show off her dance moves, and even in small situations, she would laugh loudly, spreading joy to the staff around her.
In her cozy studio, she showcased her sociability by sharing food with the staff in a warm scene that unfolded in less than half a day. Hayoung humorously remarked, “I’m quite easy-going. That’s why the company worries about me,” which brought more laughter.
Hayoung's incredible cooking skills are the most important highlight. Even when making a simple bowl of ramen, she uses her unique recipe, prompting the ‘Pyeon Restaurant’ crew to jot down her recipes. She goes beyond typical cooking for living alone, even demonstrating her tips for making pickled cabbage, showcasing her impressive culinary skills. Chef Lee Yeon-bok, who watched Hayoung's VCR, praised her, saying, “It felt genuine. A treasure has come to ‘Pyeon Restaurant.’”
Hayoung's episode of ‘Pyeon Restaurant’ will air on the 16th at 8:30 PM.
