Singer KCM shared the reason he had to reveal the existence of his two daughters after 12 years.

On this day, KCM explained his decision to publicly acknowledge his daughters, saying, “My wife and I were supposed to have a wedding during COVID-19, but it didn’t happen. So we had a small covenant ceremony with just family. After that, my wife wanted to have a small wedding. So we thought that if we were going to have a wedding, it would be better to reveal the daughters and have a comfortable wedding.”
Friends were aware of the daughters' existence. KCM stated, “Many fans knew as well. In fact, I didn’t hide my daughters. Even my eldest daughter's friends came to see my performances.” When Kim Gu-ra remarked, “Fortunately, unlike idols, not many people are interested in KCM’s every move,” KCM acknowledged, “That’s right. They really didn’t have much interest in me,” which drew laughter.
Yoo Se-yoon asked, “Were you not worried about revealing your daughters?” KCM replied, “I was more worried about my eldest daughter. I was concerned she might get hurt during her teenage years, but instead, she was worried about me. She said, ‘I’m fine, so just talk comfortably.’ That gave me more courage.”
Meanwhile, KCM confessed the reason he had not revealed his daughters until now. He recalled, “The first one was born while I was in the military. It was a tough time in many ways, but ultimately, I lacked courage.”
In particular, KCM revealed, “At that time, I had a lot of debt. This is the first time I’m saying it, but I had a red sticker on my name. I relied on someone I trusted during a difficult time, but it turned out to be a knife in my back. I was afraid that if I registered my marriage while unable to work, my debts would become family debts. That was when I first got shingles.”
He continued, “I’m very grateful to my wife. Everything was difficult, and I thought that if I revealed my daughters in this state, I wouldn’t be able to do anything. Looking back, I think that was the most foolish thought.”
