Actor Song Il-gook reveals the story behind his tears as he experiences the changes in his triplets ‘Daehan-Minguk-Manse’ during their puberty.
The MBC entertainment program ‘Radio Star’, airing on the 7th at 10:30 PM, features actor Song Il-gook, actress Oh Min-ae, broadcaster Jung Si-a, and singer KCM in a special episode for Parents' Day titled ‘I Was Totally Deceived’.
In a video released before the broadcast, Song Il-gook shares, “It seems like the triplets have hit puberty. The kids I knew are gone, and they’ve become kids I don’t know,” revealing the changes in his parenting of the triplets. As everyone is curious about how the triplets’ puberty has come about, Song Il-gook hesitates to speak, buffering as he worries about the triplets’ reactions, saying, “I might have said something wrong…”
He then reenacts the ‘puberty triplets’ scene, capturing attention. From the triplets giving him intense looks when it’s time for bed and he tells them to stop using their phones, to avoiding his kisses, he sighs, prompting Kim Gu-ra to shout, “Don’t do that, kiss! Do it with your wife!” which brings laughter.
Meanwhile, Song Il-gook mentions, “As I experience the triplets’ puberty, I’ve started to treat my mother better,” adding, “I even make calls first, which I didn’t do before.” To this, Jang Do-yeon responds, “You’ve learned a lot thanks to the kids,” eliciting laughter.
Additionally, while listening to the stories of the triplets’ puberty, Jung Si-a shares a story about her son in the first year of middle school who pretended not to know her on the street and went home crying. Song Il-gook empathizes, saying, “I felt the same way…” When Jung Si-a advises, “They usually return to their original selves in 8th and 9th grade. Trust me,” and Song Il-gook expresses disbelief, Jang Do-yeon jokingly asks, “Should we connect you with Dr. Oh Eun-young?” making the studio burst into laughter.
