JTBC's new weekend drama 'Good Boy' (directed by Shim Na-yeon, written by Lee Dae-il) has officially released its global trailer today (2nd). The unrestrained action of the five heroes united as 'Good Avengers' is expected to captivate audiences worldwide, including those on the global streaming service Amazon Prime Video.
The video begins with the roaring cheers of the crowd in an international competition stadium. Our heroes Yoon Dong-joo (Park Bo-gum), Ji Han-na (Kim So-hyun), Kim Jong-hyun (Lee Sang-yi), Go Man-sik (Heo Sung-tae), and Shin Jae-hong (Tae Won-seok) emerge victorious after a fierce battle that drains them of 'blood, sweat, and tears.' However, after that glorious moment, they find themselves facing a dismal reality as they have become police officers through special recruitment for the international competition. Yet, they are not just 'dung' but rather the fertilizer that will help flowers bloom.
The reason these humble heroes must once again pull out their fiery hearts is the 'bad boy' Min Joo-young (Oh Jung-se), who has taken control of the city. He is a shadow of evil that mocks the law and rules, creating a chilling tension with just his barely visible silhouette.
For the 'Good Avengers,' as the legendary boxer Muhammad Ali once said, "Impossible is nothing." Yoon Dong-joo declares, "I will definitely put you in jail. If you can run away, go ahead; I will chase you to the end," signaling his determination to fight against injustice. The narration continues, "Once you start, you must bet everything. 'Good Boy' is a comedic action youth investigation drama about medalists who become police officers, wearing police badges instead of medals, fighting against a world rife with dishonesty and rule-breaking. Directed by Shim Na-yeon, who won the Best Drama Award at the 57th Baeksang Arts Awards for 'Monstrum' and created the hit 'Bad Mom,' and written by Lee Dae-il, known for his unique genre works like 'Life on Mars' and 'The Advisor' series.
Following 'More Beautiful Than Heaven,' it will premiere on JTBC on the 31st at 10:40 PM and will be available to global audiences through the streaming service Amazon Prime Video.
