Musical actress Cha Ji-yeon shed tears over the news of Yoon Tae-on being cast as the lead in an independent film.
In the episode of SBS 'Same Bed, Different Dreams 2 - You Are My Destiny' aired on the 14th, the daily life of the couple Cha Ji-yeon and Yoon Tae-on was depicted.
On that day, Yoon Tae-on caught attention by preparing a simple breakfast, unlike before. Their son barely ate and finished his meal, and Cha Ji-yeon also couldn't eat due to the changed atmosphere of Yoon Tae-on.
When Yoon Tae-on returned after sending their son to school, Cha Ji-yeon requested a conversation. She asked, "Is something going on these days? You seem a bit out of it and troubled. Are you tired of managing the household and parenting?" to which Yoon Tae-on replied, "It's not that. There's nothing."
Cha Ji-yeon said, "Of course, I'm very grateful for you preparing meals, but compared to before, I worry that something might be going on. If it's hard, we can share the burden." She continued, "I just wiped the table, and it was really dirty. You're not the type to let it get that way. I feel like you're struggling a lot, and I think I need to help you more. Let's pay attention together and do better."
Later, Yoon Tae-on visited his close friend Kim Gi-moo to share his concerns. Yoon Tae-on confessed, "You know the energy that comes out when my wife is not in a good mood, right? It was like that this morning. I couldn't go grocery shopping yesterday, so I served kimchi and spinach as side dishes, and it seemed to bother her."
After venting, Yoon Tae-on attended a class at the acting academy run by Kim Gi-moo. Watching his passionate junior actors, he eventually teared up.
While watching the VCR, Cha Ji-yeon said, "I feel so sorry for my husband. But I don't think this is the end. I believe that when he has more time, he will be able to act freely."
Then Yoon Tae-on made a confession. He shared that he had been unable to focus on household chores recently because "I got cast as the lead in an independent film. I was so busy with auditions for two weeks. I was wondering how to tell you since you have a lot on your plate and I have a schedule to go down to the countryside for a week."
In response, Cha Ji-yeon hugged Yoon Tae-on and said, "Why didn't you just say it comfortably? I was so worried. I was thinking, 'Has this person burned out?' and 'Should I take a break from work?' When did you audition so much? It's so great," and she shed tears.
