One Time's Song Baek-kyung revealed his recent transformation into a professional multi-jobber.
On the afternoon of the 15th, KBS2's 'Salrimnam Season 2' (hereafter 'Salrimnam') featured Park Seo-jin and Song Baek-kyung.
On this episode, Park Seo-jin appeared as the first Salrimnam. He said, "Last time when a fortune teller visited my house, they said organizing unused items brings good energy, so I'm trying to clean up the house this time."
Seo-jin called his younger sister Hyo-jung when he couldn't lift the heavy items. However, there was no response. It turned out that Hyo-jung was exercising at home. After maintaining her weight loss, Hyo-jung said, "I was working out hard, why are you selling? Just leave me alone," and helped Seo-jin clean the house.
He then teased Seo-jin, saying, "This indoor bike is really a waste. It seems like you gained weight, right? It's not muscle," and Seo-jin replied, "I did exercise!" and stepped on the scale. The panelists cheered when the scale showed 68.9 kg. Seo-jin also weighed himself. After weighing 66 kg, which was a 4 kg increase from the last time he weighed 62 kg, he called his stylist to ask if he had gained weight.
Ultimately, Seo-jin declared a diet. He warned Hyo-jung, "Especially don't eat anything at night. You made me gain weight," to which Hyo-jung responded, "Why are you blaming me? You just ate jelly and snacks earlier," looking incredulous.
Later, when Hyo-jung made a salad, Seo-jin, who had declared a fast, envied her.
The next day, seeing Hyo-jung in tight clothes, Seo-jin remarked, "Did you get bold because you entered the 60 kg range? Bring me some water," showing a somewhat irritable demeanor. Hyo-jung worriedly said, "Did you forget when I was on a diet? I almost crossed the Jordan River," expressing concern for Seo-jin.
Afterward, Seo-jin went out alone and ran on the walking path where Hyo-jung was jogging. When he returned home, he noticed Hyo-jung eating jjajangmyeon alone and said, "What's that smell? Oh, I really won't eat. I need to wash up," showing signs of wavering. He candidly shared in an interview, "I worked hard to exercise, but when I came home and smelled food, I could just imagine how Hyo-jung ate it."
After fasting for two days, he ultimately couldn't resist his hunger and cooked jjajangmyeon past midnight. The panelists watching said, "You could have just eaten earlier," and "What would you say if Hyo-jung did that?" looking incredulous.
At that moment, Hyo-jung came out of her room and asked, "What are you doing up? What's this? Eat comfortably~ When did I say not to eat? Should I bring out some green onion kimchi?" pointing to the table, and Seo-jin snapped, "Why do you keep tempting me?"
The next day, the two siblings headed to a charcoal sauna. Seo-jin explained, "I'm going to sweat to eliminate waste and properly diet," revealing the reason for their sauna visit.
While sweating, Seo-jin fiddled with a mat and said, "Looks delicious... This looks like intestines?" as he felt hungry. Hyo-jung worriedly said, "If you don't eat, you'll..." but Seo-jin continued his fast, saying, "Chira! Chira!"
However, the two eventually went to eat aged kimchi pork belly, and Seo-jin enjoyed his meal, saying, "Mmm~ This is really delicious?" At that moment, fans of Seo-jin gifted him beef and rice cake, and he hurriedly ate the rice cake, saying, "Am I ignoring the gifts?"
The second Salrimnam featured Song Baek-kyung from the group One Time. He appeared with his two sons and said, "I got married in 2016 and my first child was born in 2017. I'm currently taking my kids to taekwondo."
Song Baek-kyung stated, "Since I'm not living the life of a celebrity, I thought I had nothing to show, so I declined offers to appear on shows. I also told my kids not to talk about their dad in advance."
He then shared, "Suddenly becoming a dad and a head of the family, I thought about what I could do to earn a stable income while utilizing my skills, and I registered for a night academy to become a voice actor," revealing his recent activities.
He continued, "My kids are learning Hangul and they search for my name. They can find videos of me flying on stage from back in the day, and they ask why I'm not on TV. I wanted to let them know that even though I'm not a singer now, I'm living diligently in another way by appearing on 'Salrimnam'," explaining his reason for appearing on the show.
When asked if he still keeps in touch with the One Time members, he replied, "We can't meet often because our paths are different. Danny is living in the U.S. as a dad of two kids," and added, "Jin-hwan is preparing to open a cafe in Jeju, and Teddy is... going a completely different way than me. It feels awkward to suddenly reach out... I last saw him at my wedding," he said. Eun Ji-won empathized, saying, "Teddy should reach out. I think he understands my feelings."
Upon arriving at the broadcasting station, he surprised the panelists with his professional voice actor demeanor.
After finishing a radio recording, he headed to his own Japanese-style pub. Without a moment to catch his breath, he began preparing for business, working hard alongside his mother. He proudly stated, "I found out that I have a talent for grilling chicken skewers besides music, rap, and voice acting. I grill chicken skewers exceptionally well. It's been open for four months," boasting about his new venture.
When asked by the production team if he doesn't eat while working, he expressed his love for his family, saying, "I endure while thinking of my family. Even though it seems like I have a lot to do, my mother does much more." His mother added, "Working together is incredibly stressful. I've been doing this for a long time. Baek-kyung's dad passed away when he was 14. So, I realized that the food industry was the quickest way to earn money," she explained.
'Salrimnam' airs every Saturday at 9:15 PM.
