Comedian Jang Dong-min explained the reason for his continuous appearances on survival variety shows.
On the 26th, MBC’s ‘Radio Star’ featured guests Jang Dong-min, Hong Jin-ho, Pani Bottle, and Heo Seong-beom.
On this day, Jang Do-yeon said, “Jang Dong-min is a man with a 100% winning rate. He recently set a legendary record in the survival variety show scene.” Jang Dong-min replied, “I’ve participated in shows like ‘The Genius’, ‘Society Game’, and ‘Blood Game 3’, and I won all of them.”
When Yoo Se-yoon asked about his overall record in survival variety shows, Jang Dong-min surprised everyone by saying, “My winning rate is 100%.” He added, “Since then, my nickname changed. It became ‘God Dong-min’. After winning in ‘The Genius 4’ where all the winners gathered, it became ‘God God God Dong-min’. Now that I won in ‘Blood Game 3’, it’s ‘God God God God Dong-min’,” he laughed.
When Jang Do-yeon mentioned that he has been receiving many calls since winning ‘Blood Game 3’, Jang Dong-min said, “I’ve received a lot of calls from a company that conducts intelligence tests. They wanted to test me. They said they want to check my IQ.”
He continued, “I saw something strange recently. In a community with high academic enthusiasm, there was a question asking, ‘If Jang Dong-min opens an academy, would you send your child?’ and 95% said they would send their child. I’ve received many such proposals, but I said I’m not interested. I said what I can do is mental coaching,” which drew attention.
Meanwhile, Jang Dong-min mentioned that after winning ‘Blood Game 3’, Yoo Se-yoon’s treatment of him changed, saying, “When I won ‘The Genius’ 10 years ago, Yoo Se-yoon didn’t care. He didn’t even ask me anything.” He even asked him to pay back the prize money.
He added, “Yoo Se-yoon’s son was a huge fan of ‘The Genius’. One day, Yoo Se-yoon contacted me and said, ‘My son respects you.’ Since then, the treatment has changed. He listens to me well,” he said.
Yoo Se-yoon expressed, “I was very grateful that I arranged a meal between my son and Jang Dong-min, and Jang Dong-min came dressed as he did in ‘The Genius’. When I asked why he came like that, he said, ‘Didn’t you say your son was coming too?’”
Jang Dong-min explained the reason for his continuous appearances on survival variety shows, saying, “Once you become an adult, there are hardly any moments that make your heart race. But survival variety shows have a different level of dopamine.”
