On the 25th, JTBC announced through the official website of 'Strongest Baseball' that "in preparation for the new season of 'Strongest Baseball', we plan to have a maintenance period and make a fresh start. Accordingly, we inform you that the tryouts scheduled for early March have been canceled."
They continued, "We deeply appreciate your interest in 'Strongest Baseball' and apologize for the confusion and inconvenience caused to the applicants. We will do our best to quickly prepare and present the new season."
However, PD Jang Si-won announced on social media that "the current 'Stove League' is proceeding without any issues, and the tryouts scheduled for early March will also proceed as planned."
He added, "Since 'Strongest Baseball' belongs to the viewers and fans, I will do my best to keep my promise to the viewers and fans. Thank you."
'Strongest Baseball' is a program where the 11th team, formed as the Strongest Monsters, competes against professional baseball teams in a showdown with top teams nationwide. Season 3 concluded on the 10th.
However, ahead of Season 4, speculation about internal conflict has arisen as JTBC and PD Jang Si-won have expressed differing views regarding the schedule for the tryouts, which are a test for selecting new players.
