Broadcaster Ji Yea-eun is taking on the role of MC for a cooking program on MBC.
MBC's YouTube channel ‘M-Dromeda Studio’ will premiere the cooking web entertainment show ‘My Own Table’ today (18th) at 6 PM. The abbreviation for ‘Ji Yea-eun’s Table Made My Way’, ‘My Own Table’ is a B-grade cooking entertainment program that creates dishes solely based on Ji Yea-eun's intuition, without any set recipes or measurements. Ji Yea-eun expressed her ambition, saying, “In a time filled with high-quality cooking shows, I will establish the standard with B-grade cooking.”
In the first episode, which is being unveiled today, Ji Yea-eun will challenge herself to recreate the taste and visuals of the franchise dish ‘Mala Rose Steamed Chicken’ just by looking at it. Ji Yea-eun confidently stated, “I eat Mala Rose all the time, so I’m confident. What if I make it so perfectly that the franchise contacts me for a collaboration?” showcasing her unfounded confidence and raising expectations.
However, after confidently stating, “Today’s cooking is easier than I thought,” Ji Yea-eun began to sweat just 10 minutes into cooking, saying, “I don’t think we should invite guests to our program. It’s too hard to do it alone.” Upon seeing the unprocessed raw chicken, she exclaimed, “It’s so slippery and disgusting,” causing endless screams and turning the scene into a sea of laughter.
After a series of ups and downs, when Ji Yea-eun finally completed the dish, she exclaimed, “Making it yourself costs more money and takes a long time. Everyone, don’t make it yourself, just order it!” eliciting laughter. Meanwhile, when Ji Yea-eun received a blind evaluation from the production team comparing her completed dish to the franchise dish, she shamelessly pressured them, asking if her dish wasn’t tastier. What kind of evaluation will Ji Yea-eun’s dish receive?
