The 24th season of ‘I Am Solo’ faced a ‘chaotic romance’ on the 5th day, struggling to find their place.
In the episode aired on the 12th, the ENA and SBS Plus real dating program ‘I Am Solo’ revealed the noisy situation of ‘Solo Nara 24’ once again with Ok-soon and Young-soo, Young-ho, Young-sik, Young-cheol, and Sang-cheol’s ‘chaotic 5:1 date’ and ‘super date ticket’ mission.
Previously, ‘Team Ok-soon’, who had an unprecedented ‘5:1 date’ after being chosen by Young-soo, Young-ho, Young-sik, Young-cheol, and Sang-cheol, confessed their reasons for choosing Ok-soon and entered into competition. During this, Young-sik said, “Honestly, I was really struggling. I had to give others (the chance to approach Ok-soon), so I kept being cautious,” and burst into tears, surprising everyone.
As the awkward ‘5:1 date’ ended, Young-cheol returned to the accommodation and called for Soon-ja. Young-cheol explained why he chose Ok-soon instead of Soon-ja, saying, “(Ok-soon) expressed herself actively to me, so I thought I should at least go on a date with her.” Soon-ja asked, “So how many people do you have in your heart?” to which Young-cheol replied, “Now there’s only one left,” declaring his commitment to Soon-ja.
After the ‘5:1 date’, Ok-soon called Sang-cheol for an unfinished ‘1:1 conversation’. Ok-soon expressed her interest, saying to Sang-cheol, “You gave me a perspective I’ve never thought of before, so whether it’s dating or marriage, I think my thoughts can broaden, and I think that’s good.” Sang-cheol strongly appealed, “If there’s a choice from the women, you should pick me!”
Next, Ok-soon visited Young-soo and praised him, saying, “Five people came (on the date), and I was glad that you had the courage to appeal.” Excited, Young-soo said, “If I was going to do it with a weak heart, I wouldn’t have even entered this battlefield.” Furthermore, during the ‘self-introduction time’, he modified the song ‘Wind and Waves’ to confess, “I will run with love that I will engrave in my vast heart, Ok-soon, to you.” Afterward, Young-soo promised Ok-soon that he would express himself more during the remaining time, saying, “I felt a subtle change, so I became a little more certain.”
Next, Ok-soon had a ‘1:1 conversation’ with Young-ho, and Young-sik, sensing Ok-soon’s presence, hovered around the room and slightly opened the door to eavesdrop on their conversation. This surprised both Ok-soon and Young-ho, but they seriously discussed their views on marriage, where Ok-soon praised Young-ho, saying, “He’s really a good man as a groom candidate.”
Young-ho emphasized that he fits Ok-soon’s ideal type of a ‘family-oriented man’, and later, in an interview with the production team, he said, “Ok-soon said there are two people in her heart, one of whom is Sang-cheol, and I think the other is me. Even if I’m not the man she’s attracted to, I think I fit the man she wants?” and smiled brightly.
Taking over the ‘1:1 conversation baton’, Young-sik eagerly asked Ok-soon about her MBTI, favorite food, and travel style. Then, Young-sik asked, “Do you like car camping vibes?” trying to find common ground, but Ok-soon drew the line, saying, “It’s hard.” Nevertheless, Young-sik boldly confessed, “I become a fool when I’m with you. Even if you’re burdensome, I don’t care. I just think I love you. No matter what choice you make, I love you.”
However, Ok-soon coldly replied in front of the production team, “(Young-sik’s confession) didn’t feel sincere. It felt like a joke.” Back in the room, Young-sik reflected on his conversation with Ok-soon and became emotional again. Then he read a piece he wrote, introducing “Young-sik’s Ok-soon,” and burst into tears once more.
Finally, Young-cheol, who became the protagonist of the ‘1:1 conversation’ with Ok-soon, said, “I just liked that you brightened the atmosphere. I think it would be nice to date a guy like that,” to which Ok-soon flirted, but Young-cheol responded with a simple “Ah” without much reaction. He also honestly revealed, “I think I will spend the remaining time with Soon-ja.”
However, Ok-soon expressed her disappointment, saying, “I really wanted to ride in a Damas (mini van),” but Young-cheol never said he would take her. In the end, Ok-soon concluded her relationship with Young-cheol with a strong statement, “I loved you.”
Young-ja expressed her disappointment to Young-ho, who seemed to have given up on her. Young-ho explained that he felt isolated because the atmosphere between Young-ja and Young-soo was going well during the ‘late-night date’. Young-ja apologized, saying, “If I made you feel that way, I’m sorry,” and added, “I was first, so it’s a bit sad, right? I’ll try to raise it again,” igniting her competitive spirit.
Young-sook, Young-ja, and Hyun-sook, who are interested in Sang-cheol, rushed to find him. Sang-cheol, who had just woken up, commented on his ‘random date’ with Ok-soon, saying, “Pure fun G.O.A.T!” and clearly stated, “I only go straight, and there’s no going back. Anyway, the thickest line right now is Ok-soon.” Disappointed, the solo women immediately retreated, saying, “Alright!”
During his date with Jeong-sook, Kwang-soo, who said, “I will sleep early today,” fell asleep early and suddenly went to find Soon-ja. Witnessing this, Jeong-sook angrily told the other solo women, “He said he was going to sleep, but he went to talk to Soon-ja. Kwang-soo is on the verge of selling his coin.”
On the other hand, Kwang-soo revealed to Soon-ja, “I feel more excited when I’m with you (than when I’m with Jeong-sook),” indicating that he had made up his mind about her. After finishing the conversation with Kwang-soo, Soon-ja hinted to Ok-soon, “Kwang-soo came back after the date and said, ‘I will focus on you,’” to which Ok-soon responded with a complicated expression, “I don’t know what’s right.”
Finally, in the ‘super date ticket’ mission that began, Kwang-soo, Young-soo, and Ok-soon won first place in the quiz and obtained the ‘super date ticket’. Additionally, Sang-cheol won first place in the ‘I Am Solo’ Baek Il-jang with a shocking poem, earning the last ‘super date ticket’. Young-ja, who was selected second, received the ‘my own money, my own date ticket’.
In the preview, Young-sik is seen clinging to Ok-soon to be by her side, while Kwang-soo appeals to Ok-soon to use his ‘super date ticket’ on him, raising curiosity about the still chaotic romance of ‘Solo Nara 24’.
