On that day, Kim Seong-ja shared that she suffered a loss of about 32 million won due to voice phishing, recounting how she received a call from the scammers saying, "We will provide you with the information about the mastermind, so please help us."
While communicating with the scammers and gathering information, Kim Seong-ja learned that the mastermind would be returning to the country for the Lunar New Year. She passed the mastermind's photo and flight details to the police, but after being rejected for various reasons, she decided to catch the mastermind herself. While waiting in front of the mastermind's house, she heard the news that the mastermind had been caught. However, her contributions were not recognized.
When Yoo Jae-suk asked, "Did you receive the reward of 100 million won?", Kim Seong-ja replied, "No, I didn't. The police took the credit, and I am the victim, Kim X, so how could I have received it?" She continued, "At that time, there was a law that prevented returning money to victims. They said they couldn't give me the 32 million won. I haven't received a single penny from the police station until now."
She added, "They said they would give me 1 million won, but I refused out of pride. They kept saying, 'Auntie, just take the 1 million won.' They kept calling me 'auntie' until the end."
