Former national soccer player Lee Cheon-soo confessed that he was a victim of a car leasing fraud by his juniors, resulting in a loss of approximately 3 billion won.
On the 6th, Lee Cheon-soo posted a video titled 'The Lee Cheon-soo Incident That Everyone Suspected 20 Years Ago: Trash Talk EP2' on his YouTube channel 'Lee Chun-soo'.
In the video, Lee Cheon-soo mentioned that he liked cars in the past and had driven several. He said, "I didn't have much to spend money on, so I occasionally changed cars. But even though I liked cars, I didn't really enjoy driving them that much."
He continued, "Since we're talking about cars, I trusted my juniors and ended up being scammed in a leasing deal. I had about five cars registered under my name in the past. Among the leases, there was something called a 'paper lease,' where there was no actual car, just paperwork. (On paper) they said I bought a Lamborghini and a Ferrari, but I never saw those cars."
However, all of this was debt that Lee Cheon-soo had to repay. He expressed his bitterness, saying, "There was a penthouse in Cheonho-dong where (Go player) Lee Sedol lived next door, but I lost it because of the paper lease. That house is probably worth around 2 to 3 billion won now."
