Actor Lee Bon revealed the reason for leaving the radio program he hosted for a long time.
On the 10th, during the broadcast of Channel A's ‘Close Friends Documentary: Four-Person Dining Table’, Lee Bon invited Park Sang-myeon, Kim Seung-soo, and Lee Hoon to have a conversation.
On that day, Lee Bon shared the secret behind hosting KBS Cool FM's ‘Raise the Volume with Lee Bon’ for 9 years and 6 months, saying, "I didn't drink alcohol. (The radio show) was from 8 PM to 10 PM." He added, "I didn't eat anything after 6 PM. I still do that," which caught attention.
Lee Bon mentioned that he cried a lot during his last broadcast and talked about the reason for his departure. He said, "I've never talked about that (leaving). So there are many rumors. They say it was because of something, or that I was getting married, etc. I've never clarified any of those stories."
He continued, "It's all in the past and has been reported, so it's not easy for me to say I didn't do it, nor did I want to. But the biggest reason I quit radio was that my knowledge in my head ran out."
Lee Bon shed tears, saying, "When I receive stories about someone worrying because of their boyfriend, my style is to tell them to break up, but I didn't want to give the same advice. So I read a lot of books. I tried to provide better advice, but at some point, my mental storage space became overloaded. It felt like I was broadcasting not through effort but through tricks, and it seemed meaningless. It wasn't fun."
When Lee Hoon and Kim Seung-soo asked, "Have you ever regretted quitting radio?" Lee Bon replied, "It's half and half. I'm sorry I missed good projects because of radio. But radio has its charm, which is why I did it. It's half and half in many ways."
