Go Hyun-jung burst into the press conference, directly addressing the controversies and saving her dream child, Ryu Woon.

In the 10th episode of the Genie TV original drama ‘Namib’ (written by Um Sung-min, directed by Han Sang-jae and Kang Min-goo), Kang Soo-hyun (played by Go Hyun-jung) took the hand of the trainee Yoo Jin-woo (played by Ryu Woon), who was embroiled in various controversies, leading to an emotional reunion between mentor and mentee. As a result, the viewership rating for episode 10 of ‘Namib’ recorded 2.5% in the metropolitan area and 2.3% nationwide (according to Nielsen Korea).

Kang Soo-hyun, who briefly lost consciousness due to a car accident, dreamed of Yoo Jin-woo pleading not to abandon him and managed to recover. Overwhelmed with anxiety, she eventually met Yoo Jin-woo despite her painful condition. Unable to respond to Yoo Jin-woo's words of not wanting her to come back, Kang Soo-hyun discovered a new scar on his wrist, instinctively realizing what had happened to him and letting out a heartbreaking sigh.

Adding to the situation, Shim Jin-woo (played by Lee Jin-woo) learned that Kang Soo-hyun had bought a factory with the money from transferring Yoo Jin-woo to another agency, leaving him filled with guilt towards Yoo Jin-woo and causing distress. Kang Soo-hyun realized that her actions, meant to help her son, had instead caused harm, and her heart crumbled endlessly.

What awakened Kang Soo-hyun, who felt powerless to help Yoo Jin-woo in crisis, was the dream she had forgotten while being overwhelmed by reality. During her time as a producer, Kang Soo-hyun had a dream of finding and producing the best child of her life, and knowing this, her husband Shim Jun-seok (played by Yoon Sang-hyun) asked her what kind of child Yoo Jin-woo was to her if she forgot all the reality given to her.

Only then did Kang Soo-hyun realize that Yoo Jin-woo was the best child she had been searching for, and she hurriedly ran to protect him, saying, “Let’s go, to Yoo Jin-woo.” At that moment, Yoo Jin-woo, forced by his agency to attend the press conference, was enduring all the arrows of criticism. Seeing Yoo Jin-woo bowing his head like a sinner, Kang Soo-hyun stepped onto the stage to stand by his side.

Kang Soo-hyun, who directly resolved the suspicions surrounding Yoo Jin-woo, provided a sense of relief as she took his hand again, rekindling the reunion of mentor and mentee. Yoo Jin-woo, who had received warmth from his mentor that felt more comforting than family, gradually relaxed, and the powerful steps of the two, who had staked their lives on each other, moved the viewers.

However, the atmosphere quickly froze when Jang Hyun-cheol (played by Lee Seung-jun), the representative of Pandora Entertainment, appeared before the two. Pulling Yoo Jin-woo away from Kang Soo-hyun, Jang Hyun-cheol said, “I’ll take you to a world that suits you,” inserting himself between them. Although Yoo Jin-woo was regaining confidence thanks to Kang Soo-hyun’s care, his self-esteem had hit rock bottom again due to recent events, raising curiosity about whether he would move towards the light with Kang Soo-hyun or into darkness with Jang Hyun-cheol.

The choice of Ryu Woon, caught between Go Hyun-jung and Lee Seung-jun, will be revealed in the 11th episode of the Genie TV original drama ‘Namib’, which will air on the 27th at 10 PM on ENA, and streaming will be available for free on KT Genie TV and Genie TV Mobile right after the broadcast.
