Choo Young-woo from ‘Trauma Center’ shared his feelings about rising as a ‘trend’.
On the morning of the 21st, at the InterContinental Seoul Parnas in Samseong-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, a production presentation for the Netflix series ‘Trauma Center’ was held, attended by Ju Ji-hoon, Choo Young-woo, Ha Young, Yoon Kyung-ho, Jung Jae-kwang, and director Lee Do-yoon.
Choo Young-woo recently rose to prominence through the JTBC drama ‘Mrs. Ok’s Story’. When asked if he feels the popularity, he replied, “I’m grateful to be called a ‘trend’ and I’m bewildered. It’s my first time receiving love, so I still can’t quite believe it.”
Regarding his feelings about becoming ‘Ju Ji-hoon’s man’ from ‘Im Ji-yeon’s man’, he said, “In terms of timing, ‘Trauma Center’ came first. I’ve grown a lot as an actor and as a person here before going to shoot a historical drama. I played a relaxed character in ‘Mrs. Ok’s Story’, and I think I’ve grown well thanks to ‘Trauma Center’.”
Meanwhile, ‘Trauma Center’, based on a popular webtoon of the same name, tells the thrilling story of genius surgeon Baek Kang-hyuk (played by Ju Ji-hoon) who is assigned to revive a virtually non-existent trauma team. It will be released worldwide on Netflix on the 24th.
