Lee Na-yeon, a sports announcer and cast member of ‘Transit Love 2’, has donated money to support the victims of the Jeju Air passenger plane disaster.

On the 31st, Lee Na-yeon stated on her SNS, “It’s the last day of 2024,” adding, “This year feels heavy in a different way.”

She continued, “I hope this donation can help a little with the relief efforts, and I express my heartfelt condolences.”

According to a photo shared by Lee Na-yeon, she donated 10 million won to the Korean Red Cross for support of the Jeju Air plane accident victims.

Lee Na-yeon appeared on the Tving dating reality show ‘Transit Love 2’ with her ex-boyfriend, ice hockey player Nam Hee-do. The two are currently in a public relationship.

According to the fire authorities, at 9:03 AM on the 29th, a Jeju Air passenger plane carrying 181 people, which was on its way from Bangkok to Muan, encountered an accident during its landing process at Muan International Airport in Jeollanam-do. There were 175 passengers and 6 crew members on board, with 175 passengers and 4 crew members reported dead, and 2 survivors (crew members) accounted for.

Flight 7C2216 of Jeju Air attempted to land on the runway of Muan Airport without its landing gear deployed, resulting in a collision with the outer wall, causing most of the aircraft to be engulfed in flames.

As a result, the government has declared a mourning period until January 4 of next year. Consequently, many events in the entertainment industry are being canceled or postponed.
