In MBC's 'I Live Alone', Jeon Hyun-moo realized his dream in Jeju Island with the 'New Muka', while Go Seung-hwan enjoyed a romantic high-density compressed trip in Hong Kong, bringing laughter with the message of 'happiness after hardship'. As a result, the viewership rating soared to a peak of 9.1%, and the 2049 rating ranked first among all programs on Friday.

The episode of MBC's 'I Live Alone' aired on the 27th featured Jeon Hyun-moo's spontaneous trip to Jeju Island with the 'New Muka' and the second story of Go Seung-hwan's trip to Hong Kong for a one-night, two-day journey to find memories and romance after 23 years.

According to Nielsen Korea, the household rating for 'I Live Alone' broadcast the previous day was 7.5% in the metropolitan area, ranking first in its time slot and first among Friday entertainment programs. Additionally, in the key 2049 rating, which is a major indicator for advertisers and measures channel competitiveness, it recorded 3.3% (in the metropolitan area), ranking first in its time slot and first among all programs on Friday.

The highest-rated moment was when Jeon Hyun-moo had his first meal on the cruise to Jeju Island. After a night of travel and facing a fierce hailstorm at dawn while camping in the 'New Muka', Jeon Hyun-moo devoured dishes like gukbap, tteokbokki, and sundae, causing the rating to peak at 9.1%.

After finishing his schedule, Jeon Hyun-moo introduced his 'New Muka (Jeon Hyun-moo + camper van)' and embarked on a spontaneous trip to realize his dream of driving along the coastal roads of Jeju Island. After a night of travel, he arrived at Mokpo Port at dawn. To catch the early cruise to Jeju Island, Jeon Hyun-moo took a short nap in the pop-up tent of the 'New Muka'. After a moment of panic due to the unexpected hail, he quickly fell into a deep sleep, snoring loudly, which brought laughter.

After entering Jeju Island after 17 hours, Jeon Hyun-moo expressed, "It felt like the first human landing on the moon," sharing the emotion of driving on Jeju Island for the first time in the 'New Muka', earning the envy of the Rainbow members. Driving along the vast coastal road, he met his unique (?) Jeju Island café brother and shared updates and talked about his 'camping dream' while enjoying a leisurely break.

Additionally, Jeon Hyun-moo filled his eyes with the beautiful scenery of Jeju's blue sea with the 'New Muka'. He then enjoyed a seafood party in Jeju Island against the backdrop of a strong wind. Facing the increasingly strong sea breeze, Jeon Hyun-moo savored fresh Jeju delicacies like conch, abalone, and sweet shrimp, making the Rainbow members burst into laughter.

Jeon Hyun-moo remarked, "It felt like a 7-night, 8-day trip. It was my first cruise experience, I saw my brother after a long time, and I ate the seafood I wanted. Personally, I think this kind of trip is memorable." He then added, "I sent the car by transport. One camping trip per journey," which elicited laughter.

Meanwhile, Go Seung-hwan, who traveled to Hong Kong after 23 years to recall memories and romance, enjoyed a high-density compressed package trip following the footsteps of Hong Kong actors like Tony Leung, Stephen Chow, and Leslie Cheung by taking a taxi, ferry, double-decker bus, and tram. After doing high-intensity CrossFit from the morning and struggling to find a famous egg tart shop, Go Seung-hwan faced physical limits, battling drowsiness, but his passion for travel never waned.

After waiting at Tony Leung's favorite restaurant, Go Seung-hwan was surprised to find it wasn't the restaurant he was looking for, but quickly activated 'Plan B' and satisfied his cravings at another Hong Kong eatery. He climbed stairs non-stop to find the 'telephone booth' from Leslie Cheung's iconic scene in 'A Better Tomorrow 2', only to be disheartened to learn it was gone. However, he was pleased to capture the beautiful Hong Kong scenery with his own eyes.

Go Seung-hwan described Hong Kong as "a place where the lights, sea, and mise-en-scène are compressed," heading to the highlight of his one-night, two-day Hong Kong compressed package trip. After researching and making a reservation based on a blog, he was awed by the view from the restaurant overlooking the Hong Kong nightscape, exclaiming, "This is the Hong Kong I wanted... all my fatigue disappeared."

As the finale of his Hong Kong trip after 23 years, Go Seung-hwan looked forward to a laser show. However, he was disappointed by the poorly visible laser show, saying, "I came to Hong Kong for this during my one-night, two-day trip, and we have this in front of our house," which evoked sympathy. Nevertheless, he radiated positive energy, enjoying the delicious food and night view, relishing the happiness of his return to Hong Kong. He shared, "I think Hong Kong is the romance I really like," reflecting on his short one-night, two-day trip.

With Jeon Hyun-moo and Go Seung-hwan's journey to find dreams and romance, 'I Live Alone' wrapped up 2024 and teased a special New Year's episode for 2025 featuring the special stories of the Rainbow members, raising expectations.
