Go Hyun-jung embraced the wounded trainee Ryu Woon.

In the Genie TV original drama 'Namib' (written by Um Sung-min, directed by Han Sang-jae and Kang Min-goo), which aired on the 24th, the story depicted Kang Soo-hyun (played by Go Hyun-jung) and Yoo Jin-woo (played by Ryu Woon) forming a bond to challenge the goal of winning the audition after signing an exclusive contract, touching the hearts of viewers.

Kang Soo-hyun approached the trainee Yoo Jin-woo, who had been released from Pandora Entertainment, and proposed a contract on the condition of winning the audition. The plan was to nurture Yoo Jin-woo into a star through the audition and then transfer him to a major agency for profit. However, the atmosphere turned cold the moment Yoo Jin-woo mentioned Kang Soo-hyun's sick son, Shim Jin-woo (played by Lee Jin-woo), and ultimately their negotiations fell apart.

However, Kang Soo-hyun did not completely let go of Yoo Jin-woo. While gathering information about him, she learned that he had briefly been part of a debut team in the past and that Yoo Jin-woo's mother was in debt to the company, which led her to decide to meet him again.

At the same time, Yoo Jin-woo, who was wandering after losing his home, rushed to meet Kang Soo-hyun upon hearing that she was looking for him, but instead of the awaited contract news, he was met with questions about his mother, stirring a storm in his heart.

Yoo Jin-woo had a deep trauma regarding his mother, who had cut off contact after abandoning him to the agency long ago. Even the mother he finally reunited with after a long search constantly demanded money and hurled insults, making Yoo Jin-woo feel even more miserable. Nevertheless, Yoo Jin-woo desperately clung to his mother's cruel touch, amplifying his sorrow.

Watching this scene from a distance, Kang Soo-hyun saw her own childhood reflected in Yoo Jin-woo's longing for his mother's affection, which led her to decide to embrace him. She then issued a strong warning to Yoo Jin-woo's mother, saying, "Don't come around."

Feeling a strange sense of kinship with Yoo Jin-woo, who was following her, Kang Soo-hyun encouraged him with heartfelt comfort, saying, "Don't adjust yourself to others." Yoo Jin-woo responded with a firm determination to do his best as Kang Soo-hyun encouraged him to participate in the audition with a contract bearing his name, raising expectations for their challenge to regain the lost light.

However, Kang Soo-hyun's efforts to protect her family's future ended up driving them further apart, creating a bitter situation. Her husband, Shim Jun-seok (played by Yoon Sang-hyun), exhausted from Kang Soo-hyun's stubbornness, eventually took out divorce papers, and their son, Shim Jin-woo, witnessed their fighting, creating a tense atmosphere in the household. It raises the question of whether the relationship of the Kang Soo-hyun family, which is crumbling like sand, can be restored.

The Genie TV original drama 'Namib', featuring the collaboration of Go Hyun-jung and Ryu Woon, who share similar wounds, will air its third episode on the 30th at 10 PM on ENA, with streaming available for free on KT Genie TV and Genie TV Mobile right after the broadcast.
