Actors Kwon Yul and Kim Kyung-nam won the Best Supporting Actor Award in the mini-series genre/action category at the ‘2024 SBS Acting Awards’.
The ‘2024 SBS Acting Awards’ took place on the 21st at 8:35 PM at the SBS Prism Tower in Sangam-dong, Mapo-gu, Seoul, hosted by Shin Dong-yup, Kim Hye-yoon, and Kim Ji-yeon.
On stage, Kwon Yul said, “I didn’t put much meaning on the award, but receiving it makes me very happy. I want to thank the director and writer of ‘Connection’, as well as the fellow actors I worked with. It was always a fun place to watch the performances of the actors.” He added, “The weather has gotten much colder. As always, warm spring will come, so until then, please take care of your body and mind, and I wish you all a happy New Year.”
Kim Kyung-nam then said, “I really wasn’t expecting this, but when the nominees were announced, my heart raced with the thought of ‘maybe’. ‘Connection’ was a delightful project that I encountered when my thirst for acting and my longing to be an actor grew. Today is actually my birthday. I want to thank my parents for giving birth to me. My dad worries and feels anxious when I’m not on TV and puts pressure on me. I hope the people involved in the broadcast can contact him so he won’t worry. I will strive to be a hardworking actor in the future,” he said with shining eyes.
Meanwhile, the ‘2024 SBS Acting Awards’ is a ceremony that summarizes this year’s SBS dramas, including ‘Chaebol X Detective’, ‘Revival of the Seven’, ‘Connection’, ‘Good Partner’, ‘Judge from Hell’, and ‘Hot Blooded Priest 2’. The candidates for the Grand Prize included Ahn Bo-hyun, Hwang Jung-eum, Ji Sung, Jang Na-ra, Park Shin-hye, and Kim Nam-gil.
