Actor Byun Yo-han has won the Best Actor award.
On the 5th, Byun Yo-han received the Best Actor award at the '2024 Seoul International Film Awards' held at the Crystal Ballroom on the 2nd floor of Lotte Hotel Seoul in Sogong-dong, Seoul, for his role in the mystery thriller film 'She Died.' In 'She Died,' Byun Yo-han played the role of 'Koo Jeong-tae,' a real estate agent with a hobby of voyeurism, who meticulously uncovers the truth behind the death of an SNS influencer, Han So-ra, whom he was observing.
Byun Yo-han expressed, "I received the Popular Star Award here at the 'Star Night - Top Star Awards Ceremony' in 2015. Receiving this award (Best Actor) after 10 years makes me feel like my seniors have been watching over me, and I feel I need to work harder and do better. I would like to thank director Kim Se-hwi of 'She Died,' actress Shin Hye-sun, actress Lee El, and all the staff. Korean cinema is going through a tough time, but I will do my best with the talent I have to protect Korean films. Thank you."
Meanwhile, Byun Yo-han has once again proven his strength as a 'trustworthy actor' by delivering outstanding performances in three films and dramas this year. In addition to 'She Died,' Byun Yo-han showcased impressive acting as 'Kim San,' a passionate young man from a military academy who is pushing for a national reconstruction project to make South Korea an industrial nation in the Disney+ original series 'Uncle Sam-sik.'
He also took on the role of Ko Jung-woo, who becomes a murder suspect in a mysterious case where the body has not been found, in the MBC drama 'Death to Snow White - Black Out.'
