Lee Nak-jun, who is active as a doctor, writer, and YouTuber, is taking on his first variety show challenge through ‘Celebrity Doctor's Secret’.
During the production briefing for KBS2’s ‘Celebrity Doctor's Secret’ held online on the morning of the 5th, Lee Nak-jun said, “It’s my first time in a variety show,” and added, “Since the professionals are gathered, it really feels different. I came to work, but I ended up laughing and enjoying myself a lot, and the first recording was over. It was very fun.”
He expressed, “I hope it becomes a time for viewers to engage with medicine. I would be very happy if viewers find a new taste,” and continued, “When anyone is sick, it’s confusing, frustrating, and scary. I hope that those who watch our program feel, ‘Oh, if I had been born in that era, it would have been a big deal,’ and positively receive treatment, and I hope they receive fun and comfort as well.”
Additionally, he mentioned, “Chan-won referred to this program's ‘identity,’ and there is certainly some pressure. It’s a meaningful program, and I think it has rich fun and deep meaning. I hope for a good response.”
‘Celebrity Doctor's Secret’ is Korea's first medical storytelling program that crosses history, science, and humanities. It explores the world of diseases and medicine through the deaths of famous historical figures and modern celebrities, asking why and how they met their end. The program is led by four MCs: Jang Do-yeon, Lee Chan-won, Mi-yeon, and Lee Nak-jun.
It will air every Tuesday at 8:30 PM starting from the 10th.
