The PD of ‘Volcano, Humanity’ revealed the reason for casting actor Kim Nam-hee as the narrator.
On the 27th, a production presentation for KBS ‘Documentary Insight - Volcano, Humanity’ was held at Onmam Theater in Hongdae, Seoul. PD Park Byeong-gil, PD Jeong Yong-jae, and cinematographer Shin Seong-il attended.
PD Park Byeong-gil stated, “Previously, Kim Nam-hee excelled as the presenter for ‘Arrived Future’. He truly believes in his work and expresses the messages sincerely and well.”
He continued, “This documentary also needed someone who could convey the grandeur of nature in a heavy yet gentle manner, especially in pure scenes with children. I thought he was the optimal actor. While dubbing, he expressed awe without reservation and was excited. I liked how he immersed himself as if it were his own broadcast.”
‘Volcano, Humanity’, composed of three parts, tracks the lives of millions of diverse ethnic groups living next to volcanoes in the Pacific Ring of Fire. The episodes ‘Grandfather Yasur’ will air on the 28th, ‘The Great Mountain of the Gods’ on December 5th, and ‘The Giant of Fire that Never Sleeps’ on December 12th, all at 10 PM.
