Singer Son Bin-ah, who rose to fame through ‘Mr. Trot 3’, has been officially appointed as the public relations ambassador for Uiryeong County.
On the 12th, Son Bin-ah received the ambassador appointment plaque from Oh Tae-wan, the Mayor of Uiryeong County, during the ‘Rich Rich Festival - Saturday Love Harmony Concert’ and performed a congratulatory show. Notably, she also donated 5 million won for hometown love, receiving a big round of applause.
Since her unknown days, Son Bin-ah has frequently been invited to major events in the county, such as the ‘Uiryeong Hongui General Festival’ and the ‘Rich Rich Festival’, connecting with the residents of Uiryeong. In February 2024, she continued her goodwill by donating scholarships to the Uiryeong County Scholarship Foundation, maintaining her ties with the community.
She expressed her gratitude, saying, “I have always felt thankful for being invited to perform in Uiryeong since my days as an unknown singer. After performing in Uiryeong, strangely, many good things happened. Perhaps because of that energy, I was able to make my name known to more people.”
A county official stated, “We judged that Son Bin-ah’s perseverance and spirit of challenge shown through ‘Mr. Trot 3’ align well with the image of Uiryeong County, which is preparing for a greater leap, making her suitable as a public relations ambassador.”
Son Bin-ah will serve as a non-paid public relations ambassador for a term of two years, actively promoting the county through various promotional content infused with her unique bright and positive energy.
