Influencer Jiyoonmi announced her plans to proceed with a civil lawsuit, including the referral of the person spreading rumors about her being from an entertainment establishment to the prosecution.
On the 24th, Jiyoonmi posted a lengthy message on her SNS stating, "I would like to inform you about the progress of the lawsuit."
Earlier, on the 2nd of last month, Jiyoonmi revealed that she had formally submitted a criminal complaint against Lee*won, born in 2001, who is currently on trial for drug-related charges, for violating the Information and Communications Network Act (defamation and insult through false facts) regarding the spread of rumors about her being from an entertainment establishment.
Jiyoonmi stated that she submitted complaints twice for violations of the Information and Communications Network Act (defamation due to the spread of false facts), violations of the Information and Communications Network Act (creating anxiety), threats, insults, and violations of the Stalking Punishment Act.
Jiyoonmi mentioned, "The police investigation has been completed, and on July 14, 2025, all charges were referred to the prosecution with a 'prosecution opinion'," adding, "The ongoing application for a preliminary injunction to prohibit posting is also expected to reach a conclusion soon, and as soon as that decision is made, I plan to proceed with a civil lawsuit (claim for damages)."
She continued, expressing that she has been tormented by various rumors, stating, "I have had to endure countless instances where absurd rumors like 'I heard she does drugs', 'I heard she is from a bar', and 'I heard she has a sponsor' were casually passed around among my acquaintances, and discussions about me occurred in my absence as if it were a matter of course."
In conclusion, Jiyoonmi stated, "I am now a mother of two children and a wife," and emphasized, "In addition to this incident, I will respond firmly to any acts of spreading false information, defamation, and character slander against me. I will start taking necessary actions one by one from now on."
Jiyoonmi gained recognition in 2013 through the comedy TV show 'Ulzzang Generation 7' and has been active as an actress. She has appeared in dramas such as 'School 2015' and variety shows like 'Hogu's Love', and is currently working as a businesswoman and influencer.
