Lim Seulong of the group 2AM is returning to the solo stage after 8 years.
He will release his mini-album 'Rainbow Light' on various music streaming sites on the 15th at 6 PM.
This album is his first solo work in 8 years since the digital single 'Your Sea' released before his military enlistment in 2017. The album captures a poignant emotion through the imagery of rain and rainbows, featuring four tracks of different styles based on Lim Seulong's unique soft vocal tone.
The title track 'Rainbow Light' is a love song that embodies the excitement and nostalgia of love, with an addictive bass line and a repeating melody, reminiscent of a rainbow that appears after the rain. The second track 'Mist' is a cinematic pop song based on piano melodies and grand string orchestrations, where Lim Seulong participated in the lyrics, expressing the quiet and deep emotions of a calm breakup.
The modern rock genre track 'Image' was specially written and composed by 2AM member Jung Jinwoon for Lim Seulong's solo album. It expresses the complex emotions of love through a striking contrast between intense guitar and delicate piano sounds. The final track 'Rainbow Light (English Ver.)' offers a different charm compared to the Korean version for global fans.
In the meantime, Lim Seulong has been steadily expanding his musical spectrum through various collaborations and OST projects, in addition to his activities with 2AM. This solo album is expected to showcase a different color of Lim Seulong, reflecting the experiences and reflections he has accumulated over the years.
