As the members of the group NewJeans declared their intention to change their team name to NJZ, ADOR has stated its position.

On the 10th, ADOR released an official statement saying, "On the 7th, the members of NewJeans announced their plan to operate under a group name that was not agreed upon with ADOR, causing confusion among the reporters present and prompting various inquiries."

They continued, "The exclusive contract between the members of NewJeans and ADOR is legally valid, and the claim of termination is a unilateral assertion," adding, "We have filed a lawsuit to confirm the validity of the exclusive contract along with a request for a preliminary injunction recognizing ADOR's status as the management company under the exclusive contract, and we are awaiting the court's decision."

ADOR requested the press, "We ask that you use the official team name 'NewJeans' based on the valid contract when writing articles," and added, "We will do our best to resolve the confusion as soon as possible and present good music and content."

NewJeans held an emergency press conference on November 28 of last year to announce the termination of their contract with ADOR. At that time, the members stated, "ADOR has neither the will nor the ability to protect NewJeans," claiming that the termination was due to a breach of contract by HYBE and ADOR.

In contrast, ADOR maintains that the exclusive contract with NewJeans is valid. ADOR rebutted, "As a party to the exclusive contract, ADOR has not violated the contract, and claiming that trust has been unilaterally broken cannot be a reason for termination."

However, NewJeans has begun independent activities under the names Minji, Hani, Danielle, Haerin, and Hyein instead of the team name, and ADOR filed a lawsuit on December 3 of last year against the members of NewJeans to confirm the validity of the exclusive contract.

As the conflict between both parties over the exclusive contract continues, NewJeans announced on the 7th through their new social media account that they have changed their team name to 'NJZ.'
