Members of the group Golden Child, Lee Dae Yeol, Y, Bae Seung Min, Bong Jae Hyun, and Kim Dong Hyun are leaving their agency, Woollim Entertainment.
Woollim Entertainment announced on the 27th, "The exclusive contracts of Golden Child members Lee Dae Yeol, Y, Bae Seung Min, Bong Jae Hyun, and Kim Dong Hyun will end on December 31."
They added, "We have had a long and in-depth discussion with the Golden Child members about their individual futures and directions for activities, and after sufficient dialogue, we have agreed to terminate the exclusive contracts."
Woollim Entertainment also stated, "We would like to express our gratitude to Golden Child, who has presented various music since 2017 and has always approached their activities with sincerity. We sincerely support the future that awaits the Golden Child members."
Golden Child was restructured into a 10-member group after member Park Jae Seok left for health reasons in 2018. In August, TAG, Kim Ji Beom, and Choi Bo Min left the group after failing to renew their contracts. Golden Child announced a new start as a 7-member group, but with the departure of Lee Dae Yeol, Y, Bae Seung Min, Bong Jae Hyun, and Kim Dong Hyun, only Lee Jang Jun and Hong Joo Chan remain with the agency.
