The special unit of the group Seventeen, Boo Seok Soon, will return with their second single on January 8 next year.
Pledis Entertainment released the trailer for Boo Seok Soon's second single 'TELEPARTY' titled 'How is your youth?' on the HYBE Labels YouTube channel and Seventeen's official SNS at midnight on the 26th.
The video conveys Boo Seok Soon's message, "Youth is right now," in a warm and cheerful manner. Starting with the question, "What is youth? Is it just being young in age?" their story reflects the daily lives of people of all ages and leads to the answer that "youth is knowing how to enjoy life right now."
Boo Seok Soon's transformation into 'youth guardians' transcending generations is notable. In the trailer, they provide free time to students exhausted from their studies and take on extra work for office workers worn out from overtime. Furthermore, the members play matchmakers for two middle-aged individuals leading monotonous lives, adding warmth to the scene.
Familiar faces also stand out. Actor Moon Sang-hoon makes a cameo appearance, fully embodying the concept of 'Teacher Moon' from the popular segment on the YouTube channel 'Ppadernus.' The 'Tiki Taka' skit between Boo Seok Soon and Moon Sang-hoon adds to the fun.
According to Pledis Entertainment, 'TELEPARTY' is a combination of 'Telepathy' and 'Party,' meaning 'a party connected through telepathy with everyone in the world.' Through this, Boo Seok Soon conveys the message that 'if you are happy in this moment, anyone can be young regardless of age.' As this album has been meticulously planned and produced since the first half of this year, high-quality music is expected.
Boo Seok Soon's new album is their first release in about two years since the single 'SECOND WIND' released in February last year. With this album and the title track 'Fighting Gotta Do It (Feat. Lee Young-ji),' they achieved record-breaking initial sales for K-pop unit albums, topped major domestic music charts, and won eight music show awards, establishing themselves as a 'K-pop powerhouse unit.'
Meanwhile, Seventeen recently held the 'SEVENTEEN [RIGHT HERE] WORLD TOUR IN JAPAN' at four domes, performing ten times. This tour attracted over 435,000 spectators offline, with all shows sold out. Seventeen is set to continue their performances in major Asian cities' stadiums in January and February next year.
