Jo Woo-jin shared his thoughts ahead of the release of ‘Victory’.

On the afternoon of the 19th, a screening and press conference for the movie ‘Victory’ was held at CGV Yongsan I-Park Mall in Seoul. Director Kim Hyung-joo and actors Lee Byung-hun, Go Chang-seok, Hyun Bong-sik, Moon Jung-hee, and Jo Woo-jin attended.

Jo Woo-jin said, “I have mixed feelings. It may sound grandiose personally, but I feel like I witnessed Lee Byung-hun's title defense match. I think this work is filled with many memorable quotes.”

He continued, “I was able to witness the moments when those memorable quotes were recited by many wonderful seniors and actors, shining like jewels.”

Jo Woo-jin also mentioned, “I thought Nam Gi-cheol was a shadow-like role. So I tried my best to be both a listener and a speaker, to witness and capture this moment with sincerity. I did my best to contribute to the splendid master-disciple rivalry.”

‘Victory’ tells the story of Korea's top Go legend Jo Hoon-hyun (played by Lee Byung-hun) who, after losing a match against his disciple, challenges the peak once again with his innate competitive spirit. It will be released on the 26th.
