Actors Nam Joo-hyuk, Noh Yoon-seo, and Jo Seung-woo are coming together for Netflix's new series 'Donggung'.
On the 12th, Netflix announced the confirmation of the production of 'Donggung' (working title) along with the casting of Nam Joo-hyuk, Noh Yoon-seo, and Jo Seung-woo.
‘Donggung’ tells the story of Gucheon, who has the ability to traverse the world of spirits, and a palace maid named Saeng-gang, who harbors secrets, as they uncover the curse that haunts the Donggung at the king's summons.
Nam Joo-hyuk will play Gucheon, a character with the ability to slay ghosts with a sword. He infiltrates the palace to solve bizarre incidents occurring in the royal court and confronts an unimaginable dark world.
Noh Yoon-seo takes on the role of Saeng-gang, a palace maid who can hear the voices of ghosts. She uses her abilities, which she has considered a lifelong curse, to uncover the palace's secrets alongside Gucheon.
Jo Seung-woo will portray the king. The king, played by Jo Seung-woo, secretly summons Gucheon and Saeng-gang to break the curse that haunts the palace, a figure shrouded in deep darkness after his selection.
The series is written by Kwon So-ra and Seo Jae-won, known for works like 'Immortal' and 'The Guest', and directed by Choi Jung-kyu, who directed 'Red Moon Blue Sun' and 'Devil Judge'.
