Actor Lim Chae-moo revealed that he has repaid a significant portion of his debt.
On the 19th, the KBS2 entertainment program 'Sajangnim Gwi-eun Dangnagi Gwi' (hereafter 'Sajangui') aired featuring Lim Chae-moo, who joined as a new boss.
On that day, Lim Chae-moo stated, "It is true that I have debt," but added, "I've paid a lot, so it's not even 10 billion." He expressed his frustration, saying, "But people still think I'm a debtor and call it 'debt obligation'."
In response, Park Myung-soo jokingly said, "It's because of your name. Why did you name it 'debt'?" Jeon Hyun-moo also joked, "If you write it in English, it becomes 'I am Chae-moo.' 'I am debt.'" Lim Chae-moo remarked, "Negative people see it as 'debt,' while positive people see it as 'light'."
Lim Chae-moo opened a 300-pyeong amusement park called Duriland in Yangju, Gyeonggi Province in 1990. It closed in 2017 due to financial difficulties but reopened in 2020 and is currently in operation.
Previously, Lim Chae-moo revealed on the show, "I started operating with a debt of 4 billion in 1989, and it became 19 billion after remodeling three years ago." In July, he explained that his total debt is 19 billion won, with interest alone amounting to 80 million won per month and electricity costs of 30 million won, evoking sympathy.
