Actress Hong Hwa-yeon won the Best New Actress award at the '2025 Korea Drama Awards'.
The 'Korea Drama Awards' took place on the 11th at the Gyeongnam Culture and Arts Center in Jinju, Gyeongsangnam-do.
The 'Korea Drama Awards' is the main event of the '2025 Korea Drama Festival', honoring the actors and production teams of domestic dramas aired throughout the year.
In the first half of this year, Hong Hwa-yeon perfectly portrayed unique characters such as Lee Eun-nam in 'Treasure Island', Jang Young-hye in 'Your Taste', and Yoon Jung-hee in 'Running Mate', proving her wide acting spectrum despite being a newcomer. She left a deep impression on viewers through various works and embraced the 'Rookie Award' trophy at this ceremony.
Hong Hwa-yeon stated, “I am really happy and honored to have been able to greet you with various characters through several works in the first half of this year,” and added, “I take this award as a meaning to work harder in the future and will show you a better side as a more diligent actor.”
She continued, “There are so many people I am grateful to. I sincerely thank everyone who helped and supported me in things I could never have accomplished alone.”
Hong Hwa-yeon is currently focused on filming her next project, the tvN drama 'Secret Thank You'.
