Previously, Jessi was embroiled in a controversy regarding the ignoring of a fan assault. According to police, on the early morning of September 29 last year, a minor fan requested a photo with Jessi in Apgujeong-dong, Gangnam, and was assaulted by a male member of Jessi's entourage. Jessi was investigated in connection with this incident, but the investigative agency determined there was no relevant charge against her and cleared her of any wrongdoing.
