Actress Jun Ji-hyun is generating excitement over the possibility of meeting Lee Byung-hun in 'Koreans' following her collaboration with Kang Dong-won in 'Polaris.'
On the 3rd, Jun Ji-hyun's team stated, "We have received an offer to participate in 'Koreans'," adding, "We have not yet confirmed her participation and are currently reviewing it." They also mentioned, "There are no confirmed projects other than 'Military Body' for her next work."
'Koreans' (working title) is a spy drama adapted from the popular American FX series 'The Americans,' set against a Korean backdrop. While the original dealt with the Cold War era of the 1980s, the Korean version will be set during the military dictatorship period.
Actor Lee Byung-hun is in consideration for the male lead, and director Ahn Gil-ho, known for 'Stranger' and 'The Glory,' will be at the helm.
Meanwhile, Jun Ji-hyun will meet global viewers through the Disney+ original series 'Polaris,' co-starring with Kang Dong-won, which was released on the same day.
