DAY6's Sungjin shared his honest thoughts about the unexpected resurgence of popularity.
On the 2nd, DAY6's Sungjin and Wonpil appeared on the YouTube channel 'Theo' in 'Salon Drip 2'.
On this day, Sungjin confessed that he did not expect DAY6 to become an icon of resurgence after military service, saying, "I didn't expect it. In fact, while I was in the military, I thought a lot about 'how will I live in the future.' Of course, I will continue this work, and it might earn enough to live on, but I felt like I needed to prepare for any uncertainties, so I thought a lot about it."
He continued, "But when I came out (of the military), something felt strange. I thought, 'Oh no, I wasn't mentally prepared for this.' I tend to prepare for things."
When Jang Do-yeon asked, "Did you have a lot of worries about income (before the resurgence)?" Sungjin replied, "Honestly, I wasn't completely free of worries. I wanted to continue this work even if it meant taking on side jobs. I had no desire to erase these memories at all. To do that, I thought I needed a main source of income to keep investing in this."
In response, Jang Do-yeon said, "I think fans will be very relieved to hear this. Since you can focus on this without worrying about anything else."
