Singer and actor Lee Seung-gi has been selected as a distinguished family of military service.
On the 15th, Lee Seung-gi shared a photo on his Instagram story with the caption "8.15 Liberation Day."
The photo shows Lee Seung-gi visiting a grave site. The grave site is adorned with the national flag and a certificate of commendation. The certificate states, "This family has been selected as a distinguished family of military service for the year 2025," listing the names of all three generations.
The distinguished family of military service system refers to families where all male direct descendants from the first to the third generation have faithfully completed their active duty service. Every year, families are selected for commendation based on the number of individuals fulfilling their military service, and an award ceremony is held.
Lee Seung-gi enlisted in the army in February 2016 and served in the 13th Special Mission Brigade.
Meanwhile, Lee Seung-gi married actress Lee Da-in in April 2023. In February of last year, they welcomed a daughter.
