Actor Lee Ji-hoon acknowledged that the police were called due to a dispute with his wife.
His agency, Y1 Entertainment, stated in an official press release on the 14th, “The ‘40s actor A’ reported today is indeed our actor Lee Ji-hoon.”
They continued, “The police were dispatched following a report from the spouse during a verbal argument between the couple; however, after on-site statements and confirmations, it was determined that this was not a serious matter,” adding, “There was no assault, and the spouse has clearly stated that there is no intention to pursue punishment, so the case is currently in the process of closure.”
The agency apologized for causing concern to the public, stating, “Both Lee Ji-hoon and his spouse are reflecting on the situation.”
According to the police, a report was received on the afternoon of the 24th of last month, stating that Lee Ji-hoon had hit his wife at their home in Bucheon, Gyeonggi Province, prompting police to respond.
It is reported that during a verbal dispute, when Lee Ji-hoon attempted to leave the house, a scuffle ensued with his wife trying to stop him.
Subsequently, the police investigated Lee Ji-hoon, but since the wife did not wish to pursue punishment, the case was classified as a domestic protection case.
Lee Ji-hoon debuted as a KBS 20th public talent in 2003 and has appeared in dramas such as ‘Baker King Kim Tak-goo’, ‘The Office’s God’, and ‘Good Boy’, as well as in films like ‘Roller Coaster’, ‘Crime City 3’, and ‘Crime City 4’.
