The group ENHYPEN has announced a strong response to stalking crimes and malicious commenters.
The agency Belift Lab stated on the fan platform Weverse on the 30th of last month, "We have requested the cessation of acts that invade the artist's privacy through several notices, but despite repeated warnings, the situation has not improved and has rather become more serious. As a result, the mental and physical damage the artist is experiencing has reached an extreme level, and we will strongly proceed with all possible responses, including legal action, to protect the artist."
The agency added, "Recently, serious stalking incidents have occurred, including illegally entering the artist's dormitory and taking unauthorized photos of the artist. We recognized the situation and immediately reported it to the police for violations of laws regarding trespassing and stalking crimes, and the suspects were arrested in the act and are currently under police investigation. We are actively cooperating with the investigation process to ensure that the suspects receive appropriate punishment according to relevant laws."
Additionally, regarding acts that infringe on personality rights such as malicious slander and the spread of false information, they stated, "We have collected numerous pieces of evidence of malicious posts and comments that damage the artist's honor and personality rights, and we have submitted a complaint to the investigative agency including all those who wrote posts that excessively insult, mock, attack, sexually harass, or spread baseless false information about the artist."
They further stated, "We promise to hold all illegal acts that infringe on the artist's rights accountable without any leniency or settlement, regardless of the nationality of the offenders. We deeply appreciate the unwavering love and support from ENGENEs towards ENHYPEN, and Belift Lab will continue to do its best to protect the artist's rights."
Meanwhile, ENHYPEN will hold their world tour 'WALK THE LINE IN JAPAN -SUMMER EDITION-' at Tokyo's Ajinomoto Stadium on July 5-6 and at Osaka's Yanmar Stadium Nagai on August 2-3, meeting with overseas fans.
