Broadcaster Lee Ha-jung expresses her disappointment towards her husband Jung Joon-ho, who is a well-connected figure in the entertainment industry.
In the upcoming episode of MBN's 'Dongchimi' airing on the 10th, various discussions will take place under the theme "We are married, but we don't love each other," featuring a realistic debate on the opinions "Couples live on love" vs. "Couples live on responsibility."
In particular, Lee Ha-jung, who is making her first appearance as a guest on the show, expresses her disappointment by saying she feels like "one of the 15,000 acquaintances of her husband."
Recalling her first meeting with her husband, she reveals, "I got to know him while conducting an interview with him during my time as an announcer in 2010, and we had a super-fast marriage just four months later."
Because their dating period was short, she dreamed of a sweet newlywed life, but that fantasy was shattered immediately. Lee Ha-jung states, "Reality hit hard as soon as we got married. The fantasy was completely broken," adding, "My husband is a social butterfly in the entertainment industry. He has about 15,000 phone numbers saved on his phone, and he is incredibly busy."
She also recalls her wedding, saying, "At our wedding in 2011, about 5,000 guests attended, and the banquet cost 400 million won," which surprises everyone.
Lee Ha-jung mentions, "The cost of sending flower arrangements for my husband's acquaintances' anniversaries or events alone amounts to over 200 million won a year," and adds, "Because my husband is so busy, there were many weekends when I spent time alone during our newlywed days. I felt like just one of his 15,000 acquaintances. I complained, thinking, 'What's the difference between me and the people saved in his contacts?'
Nevertheless, as time passed, they gradually understood each other and found peace. She says, "Now I am glad to be the closest among my husband's many acquaintances," and adds, "He is a very busy person, so busy that 24 hours are not enough, but he is slowly showing changes, albeit gradually."
Furthermore, she concludes with pride, "Although my husband is too busy taking care of his 15,000 acquaintances, he still takes care of me delicately in between. And he is handsome. In fact, he looks even better in person," showcasing that they are still a loving couple.
Lee Ha-jung, a former MBC announcer, married Jung Joon-ho in 2011 and they have a son and a daughter.
