'Devil's Plan 2' has returned with participants who are serious about the game and strengthened rules for added fun.
The Netflix variety show 'Devil's Plan', released in 2023, garnered attention as it was directed by Jeong Jong-yeon, who has received absolute support from fans through shows like 'The Genius', 'The Great Escape', 'High School Mystery Club', and 'Society Game'.
In Season 1, 12 players including lawyer Seo Dong-joo, science YouTuber Gweedo, professional gamer Guillaume Patry, actor Ha Seok-jin, actress Lee Si-won, and broadcaster Park Kyung-rim competed for the title of the best brain over a week of living together. Despite being a survival show, it received praise for having 'no devil', and it achieved a hot response by ranking 3rd in the global top 10 TV shows (non-English) category.
On the 6th, episodes 1-4 of 'Devil's Plan 2' were released, subtitled 'Death Room'. 14 players including Lee Sedol, who defeated AlphaGo, Kang Ji-young, Kyuhyun, Kim Ha-rin, Park Sang-yeon, Seven High, Son Eun-yu, Yoon So-hee, Lee Sedol, Lee Seung-hyun, Justin H. However, as the episodes progress, the players gradually grow closer, and alliances and betrayals unfold, making it increasingly exciting.
Above all, there are many unique participants who are passionate about learning, making it enjoyable to watch. Their readiness to actively engage and not overlook even the smallest details adds to the unpredictable fun. The game rules and participants have definitely become stronger compared to the previous season.
Having already watched Season 1, I can say that the game rules have become a bit more complex, and since only 4 episodes have been released, a comprehensive evaluation is not yet possible. However, thanks to the players who are genuinely immersed in the fierce brain survival, it has successfully marked a more interesting start.
