As Just B member Bae In confessed to being a member of the LGBTQ community, fellow group member Siwoo and fans showed their support for him.
On the morning of the 24th, Siwoo wrote on the fan communication platform From, "Bunghee was amazing today. Applause for his courage. I was watching from backstage and it brought me to tears."
He added, "Knowing how difficult and hard it was for him made me cry even more. I already hugged Bunghee; it was such a happy tour."
During the performance, Bae In sang Lady Gaga's "Born This Way" while waving a rainbow flag, symbolizing the LGBTQ community. He shouted, "My queen Lady Gaga showed that being different is beautiful," and the audience cheered and applauded him.
This is the first time a member of a K-pop boy group has come out. Previously, Lara from HYBE's global girl group Cat's Eye revealed last month through a fan platform that she is a member of the LGBTQ community (using the term half fruitcake, which implies being LGBTQ). Additionally, Ji Ae from the girl group Wassup has also come out as bisexual.
LGBTQ is an acronym formed from the first letters of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Queer, and is used as a general term for sexual minorities.
