Broadcaster Jo Hye-ryun paid tribute to the late Song Dae-gwan.
On the 7th, Jo Hye-ryun posted on Instagram, "Brother Dae-gwan! I was happy to have you by our side. You always smiled brightly at my jokes during recordings and praised me by saying Jo Hye-ryun is the funniest, which gave me courage," remembering the deceased.
She added, "You always became the underdog with Brother Tae Jin-ah, bringing us laughter. Your faith in holding onto God and enduring even in difficult situations was also touching. Now, may you be forever happy in the warm embrace of the Lord in heaven. I love you, brother."
Song Dae-gwan passed away from a heart attack on the morning of that day. He debuted in 1967 with "The Kind Uncle." After a period of obscurity, he reached his peak in 1975 with the hit "The Day the Sun Rises." He left behind numerous hit songs such as "One Ticket," "Four Beats," and "Popular Song." He was known as one of the "Four Kings of Trot" along with Tae Jin-ah, Seol Woon-do, and the late Hyun Chul.
The deceased's funeral is at the Seoul National University Hospital funeral hall. The farewell ceremony will be held on the 9th at 9:30 AM at the Korean Singer Association, with the burial taking place at 11 AM.
