Actress Jang Hye-jin announced that she gave birth to her second child at the age of 41.
Recently, a video titled "Kim Sook X Jang Hye-jin, the story of two friends from a Busan acting academy who became a comedian and an actress" was posted on the YouTube channel 'Kim Sook TV'.
Kim Sook introduced her high school friend Jang Hye-jin, saying, "We went to different high schools but attended the same acting academy," and added, "(Jang Hye-jin) was the best at acting in our academy. I was the worst."
Kim Sook reminisced about Jang Hye-jin, saying, "We filmed the movie 'Our Body', and it turned out really well. So I said, 'Hye-jin, you did it,' but then I suddenly got a call saying, 'I’m having a second child.'"
In response, Jang Hye-jin said, "I think it happened while we were filming 'Our Body'," and Kim Sook added, "She was supposed to be active, but then she got pregnant. At that time, she was around 41. There is a 12-year age gap between the first and second child."
Jang Hye-jin faced suspicions about whether the father of her second child was different from that of her first, and she quickly clarified, "People ask if the fathers are different. The father is the same."
Jang Hye-jin has appeared in films such as 'Our Body' and 'Parasite', and in the drama 'Jeongnyeon'.
