A photo shoot of SHINee's Onew has been revealed.
The magazine 'Singles' has released a fashion photo shoot of Onew, who is set to announce his mini album 'Connection' on January 6 next year, hinting at his activities as a solo artist.
In the photo shoot, Onew stylishly and creatively expresses the given outfits, completing a striking visual.
In a recent interview, Onew emphasized the keyword 'challenge' multiple times, sharing his thoughts on new challenges. He said, "I got the opportunity to sing a children's song as part of a project for the Christmas concert with Jo Sumi. It’s a chance to present a genre of music I haven't tried before, so I decided to participate," expressing his feelings about joining Jo Sumi's concert. He continued, "Since I was young, I have enjoyed trying things that others don't," showing his excitement for challenges.
Onew, who feels that this is his hottest moment, stated, "Recently, I have been performing at festivals, and those spaces are different from the places I usually perform. There may be people who don't know me. Singing along with the audience on such stages and seeing them enjoy and connect with each other made me feel something heating up. Watching that made me happy," he said.
When asked if he feels there are many moments of greeting the audience during performances, Onew replied, "It may seem like a small part, but you can see the atmosphere lighten up when the audience greets each other," sharing his honest thoughts about communicating with fans.
Onew, who is preparing for a special birthday party with fans, said, "I have done small live broadcasts with fans, but this is the first time I’m renting a venue for a birthday party. I often tell my fans that if they don’t come to this birthday party, they might really regret it. I have prepared a lot of diverse and exciting things. By the time this interview is published, I will have finished the birthday party, and I hope fans enjoy this time that won’t come again," he conveyed.
As part of his new challenges, Onew mentioned that he has done a lot of photo shoots this year, saying, "In the past, I didn’t enjoy photo shoots. Unlike singing on stage, you have to think about another aspect. But now, I want to show the situation as much as possible, and I hope there are beautifully captured moments within that. I feel that creating a new visual is a helpful experience for me," he said.
With the album release coming in January next year, Onew shared his plans, saying, "I don’t think my desire to take on new challenges will change next year. I’m also thinking about concerts. I will try to meet with fans more often," revealing his plans for the new year.
