The legendary British rock band Oasis is finally meeting with Korean fans today (21st). This is their third visit since 2006 and 2009, and it has been 16 years since Oasis announced their disbandment in 2009.

Formed in 1991, Oasis achieved great success, leading the Britpop era, with all seven of their studio albums, including the second album ‘(What’s the Story) Morning Glory?’ which topped the charts for 10 weeks, debuting at number one on the UK album chart and selling over 90 million copies worldwide.

Countless hits such as ‘Wonderwall’, ‘Don’t Look Back in Anger’, and ‘Live Forever’ have received immense love across generations and eras, blending the dynamic rhythms of rock and the sensibilities and melodies of pop, greatly influencing later bands.

However, Oasis's music had to come to an end due to severe discord between the band's core members, brothers Noel and Liam Gallagher, just before a concert in Paris in 2009. This led to a suspension of team activities, and they each formed their own bands, continuing successful music careers. Although there have been several rumors of reunions since their disbandment, they have repeatedly fallen through.

Amidst countless speculations regarding Oasis's reunion over the years, on August 2024, marking 15 years since the band's disbandment, they officially announced their return by revealing the ‘Oasis Live 25’ world tour schedule with the comment “The great wait is over.”

The Oasis concert ‘OASIS Live ’25 SOUTH KOREA’ taking place today at Goyang Sports Complex in Gyeonggi Province is part of the world tour that resumed in July at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff, Wales. Fans, who reacted passionately right after the reunion news, not only sold out the 50,000-seat venue as soon as tickets were released but also proved their intense interest in ‘Oasis music’ by welcoming the Gallagher brothers at Incheon International Airport on the 19th.

Meanwhile, Oasis is performing in over 20 cities worldwide, including their hometown of Manchester, Japan's Tokyo, and Australia's Sydney.
