Broadcaster Seo Jang-hoon gave advice to a woman who is contemplating marriage with her boyfriend who has cheated 50 times.
On the 20th, KBS Joy's ‘Ask Anything’ featured a couple who have been dating for four years.
On that day, the man said, "We have been dating for 4 years. I have cheated more than 50 times during our relationship." He continued, "In fact, I am seriously thinking about marriage. I have a strong interest in marriage. I want to have children too."
The man and woman met through hunting. The man said, "At first, I didn't like my girlfriend. She smoked and was heavier. So I hurt her openly. Shouldn't we have broken up then? But a week later, she came back. She quit smoking and stopped CrossFit."
The woman added, "My boyfriend said he didn't like heavy women, so I lost 40 kg. I also suggested living together."
The man claimed, "I think a man should meet many women and have some leisure to be attractive. I don't think a man should be tied to just one woman; it doesn't fit the hero narrative of a man." Seo Jang-hoon was incredulous, saying, "You're talking nonsense about hero narratives."
When Seo Jang-hoon asked the woman, "Why are you still with your boyfriend?" she replied, "After talking with my boyfriend, I found that our parenting values align." Seo Jang-hoon then raised his voice, saying, "So you’re still with him even though he cheated 50 times because your parenting values align? You're calmly saying something ridiculous."
When the woman said, "I was originally anti-marriage and didn't want to have children," Seo Jang-hoon responded, "Come on. An anti-marriage person has cheated 50 times, and you're still chasing after him? Are you talking about marriage? If someone who was originally pro-marriage cheats 50 times, they would become anti-marriage!" He expressed his anger.
Seo Jang-hoon advised the woman, "Break up with him. Don't you want to? Then live with it. We have already warned you about the resentment you might feel for the rest of your life. If you still choose to live with it, that's your responsibility. If you don't want that, please break up for your own sake." Lee Soo-geun also expressed concern, saying, "If you start like this, it will last at most 3 or 4 years."
