'Down Cemetery Road' has confirmed its release on the 29th and has unveiled a trailer.
Apple TV+'s 'Down Cemetery Road' is a thriller series that follows Sarah (Ruth Wilson), who is searching for a missing neighbor girl after an explosion in the suburbs of Oxford, England, and becomes embroiled in a massive conspiracy involving death while pursuing the truth with private detective Joy (Emma Thompson).
'Down Cemetery Road' is based on the award-winning novel of the same name by Mick Herron, the original writer of Apple TV+'s flagship series 'Slow Horses', who has received the Diamond Dagger Award from the Crime Writers' Association (CWA). Emma Thompson, who has won prestigious awards including the Academy Award, BAFTA, Golden Globe, and Emmy, stars and serves as the executive producer. Ruth Wilson, a Golden Globe and Olivier Award winner, co-stars.
'Down Cemetery Road' tells the story of Sarah, who is searching for a missing neighbor girl after an explosion in a British home, and her private detective Joy, who learns that people thought to be dead are still alive and are once again in danger of death, leading them to confront a massive conspiracy.
The trailer features Sarah visiting Joy's detective office, saying, "I think someone is hiding something," and Joy expressing suspicion about "two corpses and a missing child," suggesting that "it could be the work of someone at the top," as they dive into the case. Scenes of well-dressed individuals shaking hands and Sarah being threatened by a mysterious man hint at the involvement of the government in the case they are pursuing, heightening the tension.
'Down Cemetery Road' consists of a total of 8 episodes. The first two episodes will be released on the 29th, with new episodes airing weekly until December 10th.
